Oisin Mac Aodha

My name is Oisin Mac Aodha and I'm a postdoc in Pietro Perona's Computational Vision Lab at Caltech. My current research interest is in the areas of active learning and machine teaching.

Previous to this, I spent three great years as a postdoc in the Dept. of Computer Science at UCL with Dr. Gabriel J. Brostow and Prof. Kate Jones. I worked on the ENGAGE Project, where our aim was to enable non-programming scientists to create systems that semi-automatically detect objects and events in their vast quantities of audio and visual data.

I did both my MSc and PhD at UCL and have an undergraduate degree in electronic engineering from NUI Galway in Ireland. Before I started my PhD I was a research assistant in Marc Pollefeys' group at ETH Zurich.
