Telescope Peak and Mt Whitney

In this first stage of our adventures, we planned to hike on the trail to Telescope Peak (highest peak in Death Valley National Park), before heading to the other side of the 395 and climbing Mt Whitney. But this was counting without many unforeseen events...

The motor gets too hot, so we stop...	... at the Wildrose campground	we had initially planned to go up there	Wildrose is nice and quiet.
			In the morning, we cross again Panamint valley
		I mistook this road for the road to Whitney Portal	We have time to kill before the ranger station opens
	not much danger here...	... there is one car every 20 minutes	Back to Lone Pine
A view on Mt Whitney	I have a day permit but would like an overnight	we have lunch while waiting	A sand storm shows up
	Aaarghh, my car breaks down...	It's the transmission that is dead.	We have it towed to the junkyard
It was such a nice car, says Chihiro	I tear the registration title	We have to stay at a motel
	In the morning, we get a rental car	and go back to Lone Pine	On the road to Whitney Portal
		all set at the Whitney Portal campground	We have to protect the food from the bears
			We're going for a hike on the Whitney trail
unfortunately, we got delayed...	... with the car breakdown...	... and the hike to the top won't be for today	Nevertheless, we have good time on the trail.
