Los Angeles to San Diego

Bruce and I were supposed to do the 400km brevet in Arizona. However, driving 7 hours to ride a whole day in cold and wet weather didn't seem very appealing, so we gave up on this ride. Instead, Bruce proposed to plan a 2-day trip to San Diego. We would ride inland on sunday, sleep in a hotel in old town, and ride back on monday. The ride was very good, we shortened it by taking the taking the train on 80 miles since Bruce had to go to work at 5am the next day. 140 miles out, 140-80=60 miles back, this was a 200 miles trip.
