The workshop will consist of four series of
lectures, presented by the following noted researchers.
| Graham Birtwistle | Leeds University, UK | Specification, Design and Verification
of an asynchronous
microprocessor |
| Al Davis | University of Utah, USA | Parallel computer architectures |
| John Gray | Xilinx, USA | Reconfigurable engines, Biocomputing, Entrepreneurial opportunities |
| Robert Suaya | Mentor Graphics Corp., France | Deep Submicron Analysis |
| John Wawrzynek | University of California at Berkeley, USA | Reconfigurable computing, Neuromorphic Engineering |
| Mario Munich | Caltech, USA | Computer Vision, Microelectronic Extensions |
The cost of attendance (for non speakers) is $500 (US) which includes full shared accommodation and meals for the four and a half days at Plaza Hotel Rosario, xeroxing charges, excursions and Banquet.
The schedule for the workshop involves three talks on each of four mornings, and one talk on each of three evenings. The idea, adopted from previous successful workshops is to maximize the opportunities to talk to your favorite lecturer at breakfast, attend lectures in the morning and evening, enjoy join afternoon walks, have dinner with him in the evening. You thus have ample opportunity to make or reinforce varied personal contacts in the field as well as learn current research thrusts.
