Grading policy

50% homework, 50% project. No midterm, no final.

Homework

5 problems sets published on this web site every Thursday during the first 5 weeks of class. Due in class on the following Thursday. Late homework penalty of  25% up to 1 day late and 50% otherwise.

Projects

Projects must be chosen by week 5 either from a list published on this web site, or by consultation with instructor and TA. The students will work either by themselves or in teams of two. Each student will give a presentation during week 9, and will write a report. Grading based on both presentation and report.
